“Latino” is not a cash on on Phil Manzanera’s 801 project back in 1976, but a genuine Cuban album recorded with some of the best musicians in Havana. Manzanera grew up in Cuba, speaks fluent Spanish and knows his Latin music, which has enabled him to assemble a superb band in which the pianist Aldo Lopez Gavilan and the singer Augusto Enriquez are excellent.
